A teenage girl reported being approached and assaulted by a man as she was walking through an alleyway, on Thursday 28 June 2018. The victim had entered the alleyway from Lodge Oak Lane in Tonbridge,Kent at around 3.20pm. The suspect is said to have approached her from behind, before inappropriately touching her legs.

At around the same time an unknown woman also entered the alleyway. The woman is reported to have run past the suspect and elbowed him, before she and the victim then both ran from the scene.

The suspect is described as being black, aged in his 20s and around 5ft 2ins tall. His hair was shaved at the sides but curly on top and he also had deep wrinkles to his forehead and a chubby face. He wore a black hooded top, beige knee length shorts and was carrying a black ‘Nike’ gym bag.

Kent Police has carried out a number of enquiries following the incident, including house to house checks and reviewing CCTV opportunities. Anyone who may be able to assist with the investigation is also urged to come forward. Detectives are particularly keen to speak to the woman reported to have intervened in the alleyway.
