A street remains on lockdown with officers guarding each end of the cordon after a fatal stabbing. Shocked neighbours described seeing and hearing the air ambulance land in a nearby Temple Grove Academy just before 12pm. The man has been named locally as Gordon Farnes who lived at number 67 Sherwood Road in Tunbridge Wells. Officers can still be seen along with paramedics from South East Coast.
Police have confirmed that they have launched a  Murder investigation after the death in Tunbridge Wells
 


Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in Tunbridge Wells.
 
Kent Police was called at 10.42am on Tuesday 17 July 2018 to an address in Sherwood Road. Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended and a man who sustained injuries died at the scene.

Police are continuing to establish the circumstances of the incident and it is believed the victim and the suspect were known to each other. The victim’s next of kin have been made aware
