detectives make second arrest in attempted murder investigation

A 44-year-old man was taken into custody on Saturday 14 July 2018 on suspicion of assisting an offender. The arrest relates to an incident in Biggins Wood Road, shortly after 4.50pm on Wednesday 13 June 2018.

He has since been released pending further enquiries by detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.

The victim of the stabbing, a man in his 20s, is now recovering at home but continues to receive treatment for his injuries.

George Mee, 20, of Cromwell Park Place, Folkestone, has been charged with attempted murder and aggravated burglary in connection with the incident.

He is next due to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Friday 26 October 2018.
