Thames Valley Police has arrested four boys following an incident of affray in Amersham.

Officers were called by the ambulance service following an incident on a playing field off King George V Road yesterday (4/8) shortly after 4pm.

Four boys – one aged 14, two aged 15, and one aged 16 – sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital as a precaution and have since been discharged.

A sceneguard was initially put in place, in order for the location of the incident to be assessed, which has since been lifted.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Hannah Davison, of Aylesbury Force CID, said: “We are currently investigating an offence of affray involving a group of young people which took place in King George V Park.

“We are have been making enquiries locally in connection with this incident, which we believe is isolated, and would like to appeal for anyone who witnessed it to come forward and speak to police.

“People in the community are likely to see an increased presence of police officers as reassurance patrols are taking place in the area. If anyone has anything they wish to raise with an officer, please approach and speak to them, or alternatively you can call 101 to discuss any issues.”
