A major supermarket filling station remains closed this afternoon on the Isle of Wight. Sainsburys fuel station on Honeycross Way in Newport remains closed to customers following a major power fault to the site. The loss of power happened in the early hours of this morning (Friday, August 10th). Staff at the site have been relocated to work in the store. The Manager at the Newport store apologised to its customers and said that contractors had been called in from the mainland to resolve the fault and hope that power would be restored late afternoon.
