A woman has been stabbed to death at around 12.30pm today at an address on Grayshott Road in the Battersea SW11 in London area. The London air ambulance attended, however, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. A 40-year-old male was arrested by Police on suspicion of murder. A Scene cordon remains in place.
A spokesman for the Met Police said: Police were called on Wednesday, 15 August at 12:38 hours to a report of a stabbing at a residential address in Grayshott Road, SW11.
Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.
A woman, believed to be aged in her 30s was found with a stab injury. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 13:41 hours.
Her next of kin have not yet been informed.
Formal identification awaits and a post-morterm examination will be held in due course.
A 40-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.
The Homicide and Major Crime Command have been informed.
Enquiries are ongoing. At this stage, police are not looking for anyone else in connection with this investigation.
