Emergency services have been called to a vehicle on its roof this evening in the West Wight. It is understood that the vehicle has been involved in a collision and flipped on to its roof just before 7pm on Sunday near to the Welcome to Chale Sign.


The green Landrover defender with two people onboard narrowly escaped hitting the drive safe welcome to Chale sign before rolling and ploughing into the grass bank coming to rest on its roof. A single Fire Crew from Newport made the scene and the vehicle safe. An officer from Hampshire Constabulary Island Roads Policing attended. Police contracts Stag Lane have been left to carry out a cleanup and recovery of the written off vehicle.
