Emergency crews from Isle of Wight fire and rescue service have been called to Ryde harbour this afternoon. Fire crews from Ryde and Newport have been called to the incident just after 1pm this afternoon. A specialist rescue tender has also been mobilised from Newport. It is understood that three males are stuck in the mud. The fire service have managed to rescue two of the trapped men. One has received a psinful back injury as a result of going into the mud. The three people involved are understood to be from a local care home. Carers are understood to have gone in and rescue the trio.
