Air ambulance Doctor and Paramedics are this morning fighting to save a man’s life at a property in Ryde on the Isle of Wight Emergency crews from the Isle of Wight Ambulance service and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air ambulance are battling to save a man on a driveway at a property in Barfield Riad in Ryde. Officers from Hampshire Constabulary are also at the address.

The road has been blocked in both directions by emergency vehicles. The man is his sixty has rapid sequence induction procedure carried out by the air ambulance doctor and has been transferred to the air ambulance that landed at the nearby Dover Park Primary school.

Doctors and paramedics in the life-saving helicopter lwere at the School shortly before 11.00am and where rushed to nearby Barfield, off Park Road, by Police. It is understood that the very sick man is being transferred by the life-saving helicopter to Southampton General Hospital. Police remain in the road.
