Police launch investigation following Brutal Totton Stabbing

Officers from Hampshire Constabulary have launched an investigation following a serious stabbing that has taken place in Totton near Southampton on Saturday evening (Sunday
August 26th.

Emergency services were called to the Calmore roundabout on Salisbury Road in the Town after a person was brutally stabbed just after 7.45pm on Saturday.

A number of residents who heard arguing went outside to an assisted a man whilst other gave chase to two men who fled from the scene who are understood to have carried out the gutless attack.
A member of the public applied pressure to the wound of the man whilst awaiting the arrival of the emergency services.

A number of officers were sent to the incident that has now turned into a crime scene along with two ambulances from South Central Ambulance service.

This morning a crime scene still remains and flowers have been laid with tributes written inside a card, a red holy bible has also been laid against the fence close by to where the attack took place.
A blue police cordon tape remains around the property with officers standing guard a police vehicle is blocking the entrance to the drive.
A number of Police officers and Senior detectives can be been seen at the rear of the property were a white forensic tent has been erected a blue BMW remains parked on the drive.
Specialist crime scene investigators have also been deployed to the scene to recover forensic evidence

The attack has left those who live in the area shocked. As a community, we need to show compassion to those who have been affected said one who asked not to be named I am too upset and shocked to go into further details said, one neighbour. The area uses to be a lovely place to live in.

Hampshire Police have been approached for comment they have yet to confirm if any arrests have been made or made an appeal for the public’s help.
