A Fire has broken out at a property on Culver Parade, Police have closed Culver Parade and part of Avenue Road. A number of emergency services have been called to the incident.

A Fire has ripped through two hotels on the busy Parade in Sandown on the Isle of Wight. Eight Fire appliances from Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue service have been sent to tackle the blaze that is said to be well alight and spreading. 42 guest have been evacuated from Tarvic2 and St Mauritz.

An aerial ladder platform has also been deployed to the incident. Surround roads have been closed to assist in tackling the blaze. Driver are being advised to avoid the area. Residents have been issued safety advice of closing windows. Due to a large smoke cloud. Emergency services were called just after 11am on Sunday after It is understood that the fire Brooke out in a pile of chairs at the Tarvic 2 and spread to the building.

Local bus routes route 2, 3 and 8 and the Downs Breezer are being diverted. Fire crews from Sandown and Ryde and Newport have been called to the incident. it is understood that the fire may have started in some chairs in the old cafe attach the hotel.

Freddick Barsoun the owner of the Tarvic 2 who is owners the property and has done for over 17 years said that he will rebuild the hotel refused less. I first became aware when one of my staff contacted me the fire alarm started to sound and I saw very big smoke it was outside but there was of smoke than the fire spread.

UPDATE: Fire Crews from Hampshire Fire and Rescue have also been mobilised to assist crews in tackling the fire
