The women in her 40s was on a house boat moored north of Northam Bridge. The Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) of South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) attended along with Calshot RNLI and the Hillhead Coastguard Rescue Team (CRT).

The paramedics on scene were able to attend to the casualty, but due to her location Calshot RNLI’s D Class Lifeboat was used to evacuate her from the vessel.

The crews worked together to transfer the casualty onto the D Class Lifeboat where she was then taken to Saxon Wharf and passed into the care of the South Central Ambulance Service.

Once the casualty was in the capable hands of SCAS, Calshot’s volunteer crew returned to the Lifeboat Station at 12.30am. The boats were washed down, refuelled and made ready again for service.
