In Essex, the M11 is fully closed southbound between J7 and J6 near Harlow due to a serious three vehicle collision.

The Emergency Services are working at the scene and the road is expected to remain closed well into the night.

Southbound diversion route: Solid black circle

Exit the M11 southbound at J7 onto the Hastingwood Interchange. Take the 2nd exit onto the A414 London Road signposted Harlow. Continue along the A414 for approximately 10.5 miles until the A10 interchange. At the A10/ A414 take the 1st exit onto the A10 southbound. Continue along the A10 southbound for 7 miles to the M25 interchange, at the roundabout take the 1st exit to join the M25 J25 anti-clockwise. continue on the M25 anti-clockwise to J27/ M11 interchange. Take the 2nd exit to access the M11 J6 southbound.

Road users are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and may wish to consider alternative routes.

Essex Police are now dealing with a further serious collision on the southbound M11 between J7 and J8.

Due to this and the earlier incident we anticipate southbound between J6 and J8 will be closed into tomorrow morning’s rush hour.
