Hampshire Constabulary have launched a hit and run probe in Havant.

A gun metal grey Volkswagon with tinted black windows is understood to have mowed down the teenager on Friday night leaving him for dead in Leigh Park near Havant.

The vehicle made off with damaged to the headlight on the offside.

The vehicle also left a number trim at the scene.

Police have launched a manhunt for the driver who made off leaving the child with suspected back and neck injuries.

The boy in his teens was rushed to Queen Alexandra Hospital strapped to a spinal board.
