Second man arrested over Eastleigh murder

A second man has been arrested in connection with the death of a man in Eastleigh.

A 29-year-old man from Eastleigh has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Officers were called at 5.44am on Sunday 10 March to a report of two vehicles colliding with a pedestrian on Woodside Avenue.

The pedestrian, a 23-year-old man from Chandlers Ford, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers are continuing their enquiries to ascertain the exact circumstances of how the man died.

A 26-year-old man from Eastleigh, who was arrested on suspicion of murder, remains in police custody.
