Long delays on the M3 northbound just after junction 13.
Emergency services have been sent to the incident involving a large tree and a single vehicle understood to be a Clio.
Witnesses watched in gory as the large tree came crashing down and the car was flipped on to it roof after hitting it.
All three lanes have been closed and traffic is being diverted away from the area.
Officers from Hampshire Constablary roads policing along with Hampshire fire and rescue have been called to the scene.
The NPAS helicopter is also hovering abound the incident.
It is unclear if anyone is trapped in the vehicle. A passing motorists said that a driver was seen to be looking into the vehicle
Two lanes are understood to be blocked.
UPDATE: 4.10pm Fire Crews from Eastleigh and StMarys have been mobilised to the incident and crews are carrying out scene safety. No one has been or is trapped as a result of the incident.
