An investigation has been launched by detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate after a cash machine was stolen from a Tunbridge Wells supermarket.
Kent Police received a report at 3.34am on Thursday 4 April 2019 that a digger had been driven into Asda in Longfield Road, causing damage to the building, and a cash machine was reported stolen.
While carrying out enquiries at the scene, officers also received a report a burglary had taken place at the recycling centre in Longfield Road overnight and currently are treating the two incidents as linked.
Detective Inspector James Derham said: ‘The cash machine burglary took place in a busy industrial area of the town and we are asking for witnesses who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously or saw a large vehicle leaving the north farm estate area around the time of the incident.’
