The Hillhead Coastguard search and Rescue team have been in action this afternoon working with Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service and South Central Ambulance Service and a Hazardous area response team in Warash.
Emergency crews were called after a person became trapped in the mud.
Two Coastguard mud rescue technicians were deployed and extricated the casualty to safety. Fire crews from Hightown assisted with a wash down for the technicians.
