Police are appealing for witnesses after a 23-year-old woman was approached by man on bike who grabbed her shoulder and said he was going to assault her.
The woman was walking on her own along Radcliffe Road, Southampton at around 2.20am on Sunday (July 17).
The woman pushed the man away and broke free.
Another man intervened and walked the woman home. The man cycled off towards Northam Bridge.
The man on the bike is described as:
Under 6 feet tall
Aged 20-22 years-old
Wearing an grey hoodie
Spoke with an English accent

Detective Constable Kate Rainscourt from the Western Investigations Team said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw this incident on Sunday morning to come forward and make contact with me. We believe the man cycled off towards Summer Street and then Northam Bridge.
“Thankfully these incidents are reasonably rare, but they are reminder for people going out on the weekend to consider personal safety.
“Always try and walk home with a friend. Plan your night out and consider how you are going to get home. Put some money aside for a taxi, arrange a lift if possible, or walk home with some one you trust.”
