CHARITY DOG WALKERS AIM FOR £3,000

charity dog walkers aim for 3000

Organiser Karen Gittoes  who is no stranger to animals herself as she works at Marwell Wildlife says she is aiming to beat the past 3 totals with this year’s “£££’s for Pooches” Charity Dog Walk.

Many dogs and cats in Asia and Romania have horrific lives, some even being taken as part of the meat and fur trade, and Karen and her fellow fund-raisers are committed to do whatever they can to help.

All money raised will be donated to charities and small rescues which funds dogs and cats in Asia and stray and abandoned dogs in Romania.

This year they are:
K-9 Angels, Animals Asia, Nanu Madalina and Pat the Dogs
(Details on following page)

The walk is a circular route of about 20 kilometres, taking in the beautiful, local woodlands and coastline.

It starts at the Sarisbury Green on the green next to the tennis courts at 9.45 on Sunday March 13th with a lunch stop at the Ferryman pub in Warsash, (the pub owners have generously donated their function room for this stopover) and ends back at Sarisbury Green around 4pm. All walkers and dogs will receive a goody bag.

Karen says everyone and their dogs are welcome. However, since this is a charity event, walkers will obviously need to raise some sponsorship money to contribute to the cause. Sponsorship forms on the facebook page.
