Police officers were called to reports of a serious road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a lorry on the A32 Gosport Road shortly after 8am on Friday morning (March 11).
The motorcycle, which was travelling northbound towards Fareham, collided with a central reservation island and the male motorcyclist ended up lying in the road, where he was struck by a lorry.
Despite receiving treatment at the scene from paramedics, sadly the 25-year-old motorcyclist, from Gosport, died having suffered serious injuries.
The road was closed until 12.30pm to allow for officers to carry out investigations into the exact circumstances of the incident.

Police officers are now appealing for any witnesses who saw the fatal road traffic collision or the Suzuki 250 motorcycle prior to the collision.
