Fire crews from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue where called just before 11.30am to Bembridge Airport after reports of aircraft in distress.
Crews from Ryde and Newport are in attendance. The incident is involving a light aircraft that has crash landed on the runway after a heavy landing on the front wheel that has collapsed and the aircraft has rolled.
A Spokeswoman from The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said ” We where called to the scene at 11.27 this morning. We are in attendance at the scene we have sent crews from Ryde, Cowes and Newport after receiving the call. No one is seriously hurt. Three People have suffered minor injuries. These people have been handed over to the ambulance service. We are now awaiting confirmation that the runway is closed so crews can deal with incident.
