ryde rescue launched after vessel breaking its moorings in seaview

The independent lifeboat Ryde Rescue were paged by the UK Coastguard just before midday on Monday (July 9th) to reports of a 6 metre vessel drifting off Ryde, prompting the swift launch of the lifeboat Ryde Rescue 1.
The lifeboat and her volunteer crew were on scene and quickly took the vessel in tow. It’s understood that the boat, which was unattended, broke free from a mooring in Seaview earlier today. The Bembridge Coastguard Search and Rescue Team were also tasked to the incident and took up position on the shore at Ryde
