Officers are investigating a burglary which occurred in Upavon today and would urgently like to speak to anyone with information.

Sometime between 9.45am and 12.45pm today, a house in Pewsey Road was broken into.

A glass window in the back door was smashed and offenders carried out a search of the house.

A number of expensive items, as well as items of sentimental value, were stolen including silver cutlery, cufflinks, WW2 memorabilia, and other silver items.

Det Con Cerys Powell of the Community Tasking Team said: “We would like to hear from anyone who saw any individuals acting suspiciously in the area, or any suspicious vehicles, during these times today.

“A large number of items have been stolen during this burglary which has happened in broad daylight. Many of the stolen items are of huge sentimental value to the owners who have been left very upset by this incident.

“We are conducting enquiries to try and identify those responsible and would urge anyone with information to get in touch.”
