Appeal for Witnesses: Alleged Assault and Abduction in Walderslade

Detectives in Walderslade are urgently seeking witnesses to assist in their investigation into an alleged assault and abduction incident.

The incident reportedly occurred around 8:20 pm on Tuesday, 20 February 2024, in Robin Hood Lane. According to reports, a man was assaulted by three individuals before being forcibly taken into a nearby white van.

Descriptions of the suspects have been provided:

  • First Suspect: Believed to be wearing light-colored trousers, dark shoes, and a jacket with a fluorescent stripe down the arms.
  • Second Suspect: Described as wearing dark-coloured trousers, white trainers with a fluorescent stripe, and a dark-coloured jacket.
  • Third Suspect: Reported to be wearing light-coloured trousers and a dark jacket with a small fluorescent logo on the back.

The driver of the van is described as wearing a long-sleeve top or jumper, possibly jeans, and trainers, with short brown hair. The passenger was observed wearing a dark top with white trainers, holding an item that was flashing in his hand.

Detective Inspector Pete Smith of North Kent’s CID emphasised the seriousness of the allegations and urged anyone with information to come forward.

The victim, described as a white male aged 18 to 25 with short hair, was wearing jeans and a t-shirt at the time of the incident.

The vehicle involved is described as a white Vauxhall Combo van with sliding doors, black roof bars, and silver alloys.

“I’m keen to talk to anyone who saw anything suspicious in this area at this time, or it may be they have seen the group at a later time with a man who appeared injured. We do not believe there is any risk to the wider public,” said Detective Inspector Pete Smith.
