At approximately 11.42pm authorities received a distressing report of a double stabbing on Durley Chine Beach. A 34-year-old woman Amie Gray from Poole lost her life at the scene, while another woman, aged 38 and also from Poole, sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment in a local hospital.

Following extensive inquiries, law enforcement swiftly apprehended a 20-year-old man from the Croydon area of London. The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. Detective Superintendent Richard Dixey, leading the Major Crime Investigation Team, emphasised the speed at which the investigation has progressed, culminating in the arrest in London.
