The Metropolitan Police were called to the scene at 2:14 PM on Monday, July 29, after a member of the public reported finding bones along the river bank in Sidcup. The bones were promptly sent for specialist examination.

Following a thorough investigation, experts have confirmed that the bones are not of human origin.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police provided the following statement: “Police were called at 14:14 hrs on Monday, 29 July to Foots Cray Meadows, Sidcup, after a member of the public reported finding bones in a river bank area.
