Boy Attacked with Bleach in Abbey Wood: No Arrests Made

No arrests have been made after a boy had bleach thrown in his face in a shocking incident that occurred in Abbey Wood last week. Emergency services were called to Eynsham Drive at 10:13 PM on Monday, June 10, following reports of an attack involving a hazardous substance.

Upon arrival, officers and paramedics found the boy with a substance, believed to be bleach, on his face. He was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment. Fortunately, his injuries are not considered life-changing or life-threatening.

A crime scene was established and has since been removed as police continue their investigation into the incident. So far, no arrests have been made.

The Metropolitan Police are appealing to the public for any information that could assist in their enquiries. Witnesses or anyone with information are urged to come forward and contact 101, quoting reference CR-01/456039/24. Information can also be provided anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated, “Police were called at 22:13hrs on Monday, 10 June, to reports of a person being attacked with a hazardous substance in Eynsham Drive, SE2. Officers attended along with LAS and found a boy had a substance, believed to be bleach, thrown in his face. He was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening or life-changing. The crime scene is now closed. Enquiries are ongoing.”

The Metropolitan Police are also encouraging anyone with information to report it via social media platforms by contacting @MetCC on Twitter, ensuring all information reaches the investigating officers promptly.

As the investigation continues, the community remains on alert, hoping for a swift resolution to this distressing case.
