Ezedi, the prime suspect in the horrific acid attack on a mother and her children, has been identified through meticulous analysis of CCTV footage. The investigation, now in its second week, has shed light on the possible motive behind the attack. Detectives have revealed that Ezedi and the victim were previously in a relationship that had broken down, providing crucial insight into the motive behind this senseless act of violence.

Commander Jon Savell of the Specialist Crime Command emphasized the gravity of the situation, stating, “Our investigation team has been working tirelessly to piece together information to discover what happened. While we still retain an open mind, it appears the motivation for this truly awful attack is the breakdown of a relationship.

The urgency of Ezedi’s apprehension has been underscored by medical experts, who warn that his untreated injuries from the attack could be life-threatening. Despite repeated appeals from law enforcement and community leaders, Ezedi remains at large, prompting concerns for public safety.

Darius Nasimi, representing the Afghanistan & Central Asian Association, issued a direct plea to Ezedi, urging him to surrender to authorities and seek urgent medical attention. Nasimi emphasized that the actions of one individual should not tarnish the reputation of the Afghan community in the UK.

The manhunt for Ezedi is being led by the Specialist Crime Command, with support from a team of over 100 officers and collaboration with national law enforcement agencies. Details of Ezedi’s movements on the night of the attack have been meticulously tracked, leading to the latest sighting near Vauxhall Bridge.

Authorities have urged anyone with information on Ezedi’s whereabouts to come forward immediately, emphasizing the critical role the public plays in assisting law enforcement efforts.
