CCTV Image Released Following Rochester Assault

Kent Police have released a CCTV image of a man they are seeking in connection with a serious assault that took place in Rochester.

The incident occurred on Rochester High Street at the junction of Blue Boar Lane between 9:55 p.m. and 10:10 p.m. on Saturday, 3 August 2024. During the assault, a man reportedly used derogatory and homophobic language towards another man, whom he did not know, before punching him in the face. The victim sustained a fractured jaw that required surgery.

Officers have conducted several lines of enquiry, including reviewing CCTV footage. They are now asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the man pictured, who they believe could help with their investigation.

Anyone who recognises the man is urged to call the dedicated Kent Police appeal line at 01634 792209, quoting reference 46/130528/24. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be provided via Crimestoppers at 0800 555111 or through their online form.
