Chip Pan Fire in Broadstairs Quickly Extinguished by Kent Fire and Rescue Service

Kent Fire and Rescue Service swiftly responded to a chip pan fire incident in Albion Road, Broadstairs, today.

At 12:22 PM on Friday, June 7, 2024, emergency services received a report of a chip pan catching alight at a business premises. Two fire engines were dispatched to the scene to address the situation.

Upon arrival, firefighters equipped with breathing apparatuses sprang into action, utilizing high-pressure hose reel jets to swiftly extinguish the fire. Following the successful containment of the blaze, a positive-pressure ventilation fan was employed to clear smoke from the property.

Although the fire was effectively managed, one individual at the scene exhibited symptoms of smoke inhalation. South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) paramedics promptly attended to the affected person, providing necessary care.

Efforts by emergency responders ensured that the incident was swiftly controlled, mitigating potential risks and safeguarding the surrounding area from further harm.
