At 11.42pm on that fateful night, authorities received a report of a violent altercation on Durley Chine Beach. Two individuals had been stabbed. Tragically, Ms Gray from Poole lost her life at the scene. Another woman, aged 38 and also from Poole, sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment in the hospital.

A 17-year-old boy from Lancashire was swiftly arrested on suspicion of murder. However, following fast-time inquiries over the weekend, he has been released without charge and eliminated from further investigations related to the incident.

Detective Superintendent Richard Dixey, leading the Major Crime Investigation Team, appealed to the public for assistance. “We need your help to identify the suspect captured in the CCTV images,” he stated. “If you recognise him or have any information, no matter how small, that may lead us to his identity, please get in touch immediately.”

Dixey emphasised that the public should not approach the suspect under any circumstances but should call 999 immediately if they have relevant information.

Additionally, they are renewing their appeal to individuals who were in the vicinity of Durley Roundabout, West Cliff Gardens, Durley Gardens, or West Cliff Drive during that same night.
