On Saturday 11 May 2024, Stewart Powell, of St Mary’s Bay, was charged with failing to stop following a collision. He was also charged with driving without insurance as it is alleged that, at the time of the collision, although there was insurance in force for the vehicle, it was being driven outside the terms of that policy. Mr Powell, 49, was bailed to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Friday 24 May.
