Fire at Derelict Building in Sheerness Treated as Suspicious

Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) responded to a fire at a derelict building on Trinity Road, Sheerness, on Thursday evening. The incident, which occurred at around 10:23 PM, saw two fire engines dispatched to the scene.

Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used high-pressure hose reel jets to tackle the flames, which were fueled by waste and timber sheets. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries.

KFRS has confirmed that the cause of the fire is being treated as suspicious, and investigations are ongoing.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Kent Police or Crimestoppers.
