Four-Year-Old Child Hospitalized After Fall from First-Floor Balcony in Belvedere

A four-year-old child has been hospitalised after falling from a first-floor balcony in Belvedere. The incident occurred on Norman Road near Yarnton Way at around 8:30 PM yesterday, June 18.

Emergency services, including officers from the Metropolitan Police and crews from the London Ambulance Service, were called to the scene. The child was found injured and was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Medical assessments determined that the injuries were non-life-threatening.

Police Statement

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police provided the following statement: “On Tuesday, 18 June at 20:30hrs, police were called to Norman Road, Belvedere following reports that a child had fallen from a height. Officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service who treated a four-year-old child after they had fallen from a first-floor balcony. The child was taken to a nearby hospital where their injuries were confirmed to be non-life threatening. There were no arrests.”

Investigation and Community Response

No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, and it is currently being treated as an accident. The community has expressed relief that the child’s injuries are not more severe, and support has been extended to the family during this distressing time.
