Heartbreaking Tribute to Tara Kershaw: Mysterious Death in Great Yarmouth

The family of Tara Kershaw, aged 33, has issued a heartfelt tribute following the discovery of her body on Saturday, January 20, 2024.

In a statement, the family expressed their deep grief and the difficulty they are facing in coming to terms with Tara’s tragic loss. They have requested privacy during this challenging time to grieve and process the circumstances surrounding her passing.

Tara Kershaw’s body was found inside a property on Princes Road, Great Yarmouth, prompting a police response at 9:11 am on Saturday, January 20, 2024. The woman, aged in her 30s, was discovered at the scene.

An initial Home Office post-mortem examination was conducted on the same day, and while further tests are needed, preliminary findings indicate that the cause of death was consistent with compression to the neck.

A man, identified as Adam Barnard, aged 40 and residing on Princes Road, was arrested on suspicion of murder. He was taken to the Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning. Subsequently, he was charged with the murder of the woman.

Adam Barnard appeared at Norwich Crown Court on the morning of Tuesday, January 23, 2024, where he was further remanded into custody until his next court appearance scheduled for April 12, 2024.

Detective Inspector Alix Wright, leading the investigation, stated, “We continue with our enquiries to understand the full circumstances which led to Tara’s death and would urge anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the days leading up to Saturday morning, to get in touch. We believe this to be an isolated incident, and both parties were known to one another.”

Detectives are appealing to any witnesses who may have seen or heard any suspicious activity in the Princes Road area to come forward with information that could aid the ongoing investigation.
