Two 18-year-old men have been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of a 23-year-old man in Tower Hamlets earlier this week.
Shomiah McKenzie, from Lewisham, and Cody Godfrey, from the Isle of Dogs, were both charged on Friday, August 9, with the murder of Abdul Jalloh, who was fatally stabbed on Monday, August 5, in New Union Close, E14.
In addition to the murder charges, both McKenzie and Godfrey face charges of possession of Class C drugs with intent to supply. McKenzie has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon.
The two men have been remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court on Saturday, August 10th.
The family of Abdul Jalloh has been informed of the charges and is being supported by specialist officers during this difficult time.
A third individual, a 16-year-old boy, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. He has been released under investigation.
