Prior to the murder, both perpetrators were involved in a motorbike robbery in Waterloo. Following the heinous act, Kallon attempted to flee the country, making credit card payments to a holiday company in Spain, booking a flight to Sierra Leone, and acquiring a new fast-tracked passport.

Detective Chief Inspector Laurence Smith, who spearheaded the investigation, expressed the profound loss felt by Rohan’s family. Rohan was not just a victim of a senseless crime; he was a cherished son, partner, and brother. The conviction of Kallon, amidst the family’s devastation, offers a semblance of closure.

Rohan’s mother, Debra, extended her gratitude to the police for their relentless pursuit of justice. While nothing can alleviate the pain of losing Rohan, his family hopes that Kallon’s conviction will serve as a measure of justice for their beloved son.
