Metropolitan Police officers responded to the scene on Clydesdale Road, a stone’s throw from the popular tourist destination, after receiving a call just after 2 am.

Upon arrival, the police found the young man suffering from gunshot injuries. He was promptly taken to a West London hospital for treatment. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that the injuries were not life-threatening, and the victim’s next of kin have been informed of the incident.

The area around Clydesdale Road was cordoned off, and footage circulating on social media showed a black car abandoned in the middle of the road near All Saints’ Church, with its door open. Specialist firearms officers were part of the police response team attending to the emergency.

As of now, there have been no arrests in connection with the shooting. The investigation is ongoing, and the Metropolitan Police are appealing to the public for any information, videos, or images that could assist in their inquiries. We sent an ambulance crew, a medic in a fast-response car, and dispatched London’s Air Ambulance with a trauma team. The man was treated at the scene before being taken to a major trauma centre.”

This incident adds to a series of concerning events in the London area, with recent reports of other criminal activities, including a shooting with a tragic romantic angle, an Extinction Rebellion co-founder’s alleged plot involving drones at Heathrow, a teacher accused of sexual abuse, and a rapist posing as a taxi driver.

The Metropolitan Police are continuing their investigation into the shooting and are seeking the public’s assistance in gathering more information.
