Police Appeal for Victims and Witnesses Following Series of Sexual Assaults at North Greenwich Station

Police are appealing for potential victims and witnesses to come forward following a series of sexual assaults at North Greenwich railway station. The incidents occurred between 7am and 8am on July 11, 2024.

Detectives from British Transport Police (BTP) are investigating reports of sexual assault and believe there may be additional victims who have not yet reported their experiences. The BTP is urging anyone with information to contact them.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “British Transport Police detectives are appealing for the victims or any witnesses to a series of sexual assaults at North Greenwich railway station to contact them. Detectives are investigating reports of a sexual assault that occurred between 7am and 8am on 11 July 2024, and believe there may be other victims who are yet to come forward.”

Individuals with information can contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 142 of 11 July. Additionally, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.

“We encourage anyone who may have witnessed or experienced something to come forward. Your information could be vital to our investigation,” added the spokesperson.

The appeal underscores the importance of reporting incidents to help authorities build a comprehensive understanding of the events and take necessary actions to ensure the safety and security of all passengers.
