Police Launch Manhunt for Suspect in Ahmed Jama Murder Case

Scotland Yard has issued an urgent appeal for information to locate Arlind Hashani, 20, who is wanted in connection with the murder of Ahmed Jama. Jama, 29, tragically lost his life due to stab wounds on December 29, 2023, and police believe Hashani is a key figure in their ongoing investigation.

Ahmed Jama was found with stab wounds near Gaymead on the Abbey Estate, Abbey Road, in the Rous area around 7:32 PM. The incident, which occurred just after Christmas, sent shockwaves through the local community and prompted an intensive police inquiry.

A 21-year-old man was initially arrested on suspicion of murder on January 4, 2024, followed by the detention of a 25-year-old on January 7, 2024, on suspicion of assisting an offender. Later, on January 17, 2024, two 25-year-old men were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder. All four individuals have since been released on bail as the investigation continues.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil Rawlinson, who leads the investigation, issued an urgent plea to the public regarding Arlind Hashani, saying, “We urgently need to trace the whereabouts of Arlind Hashani. He is considered to be dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call 999 or report anonymously to CrimeStoppers by calling 0800 555 111.

The police have also released a photograph of Hashani, urging anyone with knowledge of his location to come forward immediately. As the search intensifies, the community anxiously awaits justice for Ahmed Jama and his grieving family, hopeful that Hashani’s apprehension will provide critical answers in this tragic case.
