A murder investigation has been launched on the Isle of Dogs after a young man was fatally stabbed on Tuesday evening, 5 August.
The incident occurred near Union Close and Ovex Close in East London. Despite the best efforts of police officers and paramedics, the victim sadly succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 4.15pm on Monday, 5 August to reports of a man stabbed on New Union Close, E14.
Officers and London’s Air Ambulance attended. A man, aged in his mid-20s, was treated at the scene but despite the efforts of paramedics, he died a short time later.
His next of kin have been informed and will be supported by specialist officers.
A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
One arrest has been made in connection with the investigation and enquiries are ongoing.
A crime scene will remain in place for some time.
