Police New Release Image of Abdul Shokoor Ezedi as Manhunt Continues in Lambeth Acid Attack Case

In the ongoing investigation following the horrific acid attack in Lambeth, London, authorities have released a new image of Abdul Shokoor Ezedi, a key figure in the case. Superintendent Gabriel Cameron has appealed for public assistance and provided updates on the incident.

The released image captures the last known sighting of Abdul Shokoor Ezedi on Caledonian Road, N1, at 20:48hrs on Wednesday, January 31. The image, taken from a Tesco store, shows Ezedi, who appears to have significant injuries to the right side of his face, making him easily distinguishable.

Superintendent Gabriel Cameron issued a stern warning, stating, “If you see Ezedi, call 999 immediately. He should NOT be approached.”

Furthermore, authorities have established an incident room, and individuals with information regarding Ezedi’s whereabouts are encouraged to contact the incident room directly at 0207 175 2784.

The acid attack, which occurred on the evening of January 31, left a woman, aged 31, and her two daughters, aged eight and three, hospitalized. While their conditions are not life-threatening, the injuries sustained by the woman and the younger daughter are potentially life-changing, and it may take time before the full extent is known.

Three courageous women, two in their 30s and one in her 50s, who came to the aid of the family during the attack, have been discharged from the hospital after suffering minor burns. A man in his 50s who also assisted declined hospital treatment for minor injuries.

Additionally, five police officers who responded to the incident and were injured have been treated and discharged from the hospital.

Superintendent Gabriel Cameron praised the heroic actions of these individuals, stating, “All these members of the public, and my officers, deserve enormous recognition and praise for coming to the aid of this woman and children in what must have been a terrifying scenario. We will provide them with all the support we can.

The investigation into the acid attack is ongoing, with authorities collaborating with partner agencies and forces to locate and apprehend the suspect. Preliminary findings suggest that the man and woman involved in the incident are known to each other.

While the investigation remains in its early stages, law enforcement urgently seeks to locate the dangerous individual responsible for the attack. Authorities will provide additional information about the suspect as it becomes available.

Superintendent Cameron urged anyone who witnessed the incident to contact the police at 0207 175 2784. He also appealed to local residents and drivers to check their doorbell and dash cameras for potential footage that may assist in identifying the suspect.

The impact of this disturbing incident on the local community is acknowledged, and police officers are actively patrolling the area to address concerns and gather information.

Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111, further aiding the ongoing investigation into this shocking acid attack.
