In response to the recent surge of violent disorder across the UK, a senior Metropolitan Police officer has declared that the force will employ “every power, tactic and tool” available to prevent further riots instigated by far-right groups.
The violence erupted following the tragic fatal stabbing of three young girls in Southport on July 29. Despite initial false reports circulating on social media suggesting the attacker was an Islamic asylum seeker, the disorder has continued even after these claims were debunked.
