Specialist officers will be on duty this evening to oversee two planned demonstrations in Plymouth. The heightened police presence aims to ensure the safety and order of all participants and the general public during the events.
While the demonstrations are the focal point of tonight’s security measures, police have already made three arrests for anti-social behaviour. These arrests are not connected to the planned demonstrations.
A spokesperson for the police said, “Our priority is to facilitate peaceful and lawful demonstrations while ensuring public safety. We have specialist officers deployed to manage the events and address any issues that may arise.
The nature of the demonstrations has not been disclosed, but authorities are prepared to handle various scenarios to maintain public order.
