Police in St Leonards have brought charges against 56-year-old Steven Lock for a series of grave sexual offences that span over thirty years. Lock, a resident of Willingdon Way in St Leonards, faces a total of seventeen charges, including nine counts of rape, five counts of indecent assault, and three counts of causing unnecessary suffering to a child.

The allegations involve offences that reportedly occurred during the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s. According to the police report, the victims include two women, two boys, and two girls, all of whom were known to Lock.

Lock has been released on bail and is scheduled to appear at Hastings Magistrates’ Court on July 10. This case has sent shockwaves through the community as they grapple with the severity and duration of these allegations.

The authorities have urged anyone with further information or who may have been affected to come forward, assuring them of support and confidentiality.
