Warwickshire Police swiftly responded to the incident, utilising CCTV footage and conducting thorough investigations. As a result, four boys allegedly present during the stabbing were identified and arrested on suspicion of murder. Within 72 hours of the initial report, the boy believed to be responsible for the fatal wound was singled out.

Of the four arrests, one 15-year-old boy has been released without further action, while the other two—14-year-olds—have been released on bail. Additionally, on June 11, another 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder.
