Tragic Incident at Kidbrooke Railway Station as Person is Struck by Train

A somber mood envelops Kidbrooke Railway Station following a tragic incident this morning, where a person was struck by a train and subsequently died. Despite extensive efforts by emergency services, the individual could not be saved.
The incident occurred at around 8:30 am on November 11. The London Ambulance Service responded promptly, dispatching numerous resources including an ambulance crew, a fast response unit, an incident response officer, and members of the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART). Support was also provided by London’s air ambulance.
Despite the rapid response and the medical efforts at the scene, the person was pronounced dead at Kidbrooke Railway Station.
National Rail confirmed that the incident led to temporary disruption on the Bexleyheath line, with trains unable to run for a period. Services have since been resumed, but passengers were advised to expect delays or cancellations of up to 30 minutes, with normal operations anticipated to resume around 11:00 am.
A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service expressed sorrow over the incident: “Sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, a person died at the scene.”
National Rail, in a statement on their website, detailed the impact of the incident on train services and acknowledged the completion of emergency services’ work at the site. The statement also offered support to those affected by the day’s events, encouraging them to contact the Samaritans for a confidential conversation if needed.
The British Transport Police have been approached for further comment on the incident. As the investigation into this unfortunate event continues, the local community and the transport network are likely to feel the impact of this morning’s tragic occurrence.
