A 44-year-old woman from Devizes was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm with intent and being concerned in the supply of class-A drugs. Additionally, a 36-year-old woman from Trowbridge was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to pervert the course of justice. Both individuals have been released on bail.

The incident occurred on Saturday (01/06) when an officer approached the occupants of a white Dacia Jogger Expression parked in a field in Conscience Lane, near Devizes. The vehicle then collided with the officer, resulting in injuries that required hospital treatment. The officer has since been discharged and is recovering at home.

A 20-year-old man from Trowbridge remains in custody, while a 22-year-old woman from Bristol has been released on bail. A man in his 30s from Twerton, near Bath, who was arrested earlier, has been released without charge.

The vehicle believed to have been used in the assault has been located and seized by police.
