Witness Appeal: Edgware Traffic Incident Leaves Man Critical

Detectives are urging witnesses and individuals with footage of a recent road traffic collision in Edgware to come forward as they investigate the incident that left a man critically injured.

The collision occurred on Friday, January 5, at approximately 20:55hrs when a black Mercedes was heading southbound on the A5/West Hendon Broadway. As the Mercedes turned right at the traffic lights into Cool Oak Lane, it collided with a Kawasaki motorbike travelling northbound on the A5. The motorbike subsequently collided with a lamppost.

Emergency services, including the police, London Ambulance Service (LAS), and London Fire Brigade (LFB), rushed to the scene to assist.

The rider of the Kawasaki motorbike sustained serious injuries and was promptly transported to a local hospital by LAS. Unfortunately, the individual remains in critical condition as a result of the collision.

The driver of the black Mercedes involved in the incident remained uninjured. They stopped at the scene and later attended a police station, where they were interviewed under caution. Notably, no arrests have been made in connection with this incident at this stage, and inquiries by the authorities are ongoing.

Authorities are now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or captured it on camera to come forward and provide their accounts or footage. This information is vital for the ongoing investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
